Penis Portraits
I started shooting content for this book in 2015, after I bought a new camera lens that allowed me to get more up close and personal with the models. I tried to put aside some time during every regular shoot to focus on a few “dick pics”, and gradually built up a large collection of images featuring many models. Also, because the shots were totally anonymous there were lots more guys wanting to taking part and explore their exhibitionist side.
Originally the book was going to be entirely monochrome images, but after the first few years I realised that it may become boring to some and so I began to add more colour into the mix. This really helped when it came time to design the book, and I began laying out the pages, to create a harmonious flow.
This project is totally self funded as I felt it would be difficult to do a Kickstarter, like I did for my last couple of books, since it would be hard to promote on social media and I would not be able to show any of the photos. The book is printed in Italy with a relatively small print run, so the cost per book for me is greater than if I had printed thousands of copies like in the past, but despite the financial risk I do hope this book finds an audience.
